I'm just curious how these goodyears that came with my corolla s handle? I know factory tires are usually crap and with winter around the corner and snow coming just curious of peoples experiences. I mean I do have a 2010 Tacoma 4x4 for the really bad snow storms but for the lighter snow storms and wintery mix were these any good? I'm really not planning on upgrading the tires anytime soon since I did just spend 700 on new rubber for my Tacoma What is the average wear life on the factory goodyears as well. Thanks in advance

The stock goodyear is better than the stock bridgestone turanza. I have the turanza, they are total crap, worn out in a lighting fast rate. If you are going to see snow in your area, I suggest don't use factory stock ones, get something specific for winter. Remember winter tires aren't only for snow/ice surface. Summer tires and all season tires compounds start to loose its traction below 7 degrees.
im at 6/32 all around with 10.7k miles. i think they'll go up to 25k miles but they SUCK at handling. today i took a sharp-ish turn at around 50mph and i can heard the tires skidding alittle bit.

My Turanza tires were at the wear-bar by 60,000KM... (And I use Winter Tires from November - April)... So half the year those Turanza's were in storage.
My wife had Eagle RS-A's on her Matrix XR (2006), and they wore out not as fast as my Turanza's. Her's lasted 60,000km (not 30,000km).
Guess Im the only one who likes the stock goodyears. I think they handle very well for factory all seasons on warm, dry roads. Plus, the did better than expected this year when we had our snow fall for the year. Of course, this is Arkasnas, so we only get 2 inches of snow a year max. Theres always room for improvement, but I think these tires are ok. I will probably switch to something else when they wear out though, just cause i get curious.

I have the Goodyear RS-A's on my 07 Matrix as I upgraded to 17" wheels & tires on my 09 Corolla. So far I have over 40k miles on them. They still have some wear on them too. I'll put on my RS-A's from my Corolla next summer as the original ones for the Matrix will be ready to be changed. They have been just fine for spring, summer & fall driving. I use a set of Bridgestone Blizzacks for the winter months.
