Now I get it. Sorry I am a dummy when it comes to electrical. So the grey is hot all the time then correct. Do you know if the other wire going to the cir lighter would be switched 12v?
If not I will have to find another switched 12v. (hot when the ignition is on)

Oh! I had it backwards then.
Okay that makes it easier. All I have do then is find something that is hot all the time and I am good to go. Do you happen to know where I could find that? I suppose I could trace something out of the fuse box?
Or maybe the map lights?

The map lights are hot all the time and are very close to where you need the power (at the mirror).
