Cig Lighter wiring question please

Does anyone know which wire on the cig lighter is hot all the time and which one is hot when the igition is on?

I am installing an auto dim mirror and want to tie in to the cig lighter.

The grey wire plugging into the cigarette lighter is the +12V accessory power source. It is on Pin No.2, it should be the only grey wire there.

Now I get it. Sorry I am a dummy when it comes to electrical. So the grey is hot all the time then correct. Do you know if the other wire going to the cir lighter would be switched 12v?
If not I will have to find another switched 12v. (hot when the ignition is on)

The grey wire is an accessory wire, so it is only on when the ignition is on.

Oh! I had it backwards then.
Okay that makes it easier. All I have do then is find something that is hot all the time and I am good to go. Do you happen to know where I could find that? I suppose I could trace something out of the fuse box?
Or maybe the map lights?

The map lights are hot all the time and are very close to where you need the power (at the mirror).
