Quick Preference 5k or 6k HIDS!!

I currently have a RED corolla and I can't decide which color of HID would go with my car. 6K has a little of a small blue tint when 5k is pure white. Any suggestions? I want HID's for my low beam and fog lights.

Anything higher than 4200-4500K and the usable lumens start decreasing at a pretty quick rate. This is due to the cones (responsible for color) in the human eye becoming decreasingly active due to the low light conditions (which is the rods domain). Basically when you light something up at night with blue hue and beyond you are trying to get your eyes to do something they can't do...resulting in irritation. The rice-boys of today confuse this irritation with intensity, which are two entirely different things.

Please read the sticky for further information: Mandatory Viewing Before Considering HID Conversions.

i have 5k 35w for low...although they seem pure white...theres a tiny hint of blue....

i kinda want OEM white since i have purple fogs so i might go 4300k
just dont do anything above 6k for lows...like LEANBURN said...not good.

I like more white than any blue, I'd go 4300k to 5000k. Although from what I have read on some sites (think it was ddm?) that 55w 6000k is like 35w 5000k?

That's why I got my DDM Tuning 35W 6000K both low beams and fogs and I love the white look:

Since were on the subject of lights, don't mean to thread jack...

If ordering HIR bulbs and avoid HID bulbs since our headlight housings aren't designed for HIDs, can you order HIR bulbs w/ different color temps?
