to TN! I don't recall seeing anyone else from Alaska. Where in Alaska do you live?

I'm not sure about the center caps for steelies, why not look for a set of alloy wheels that would look a lot better anyway? I bought a closeout set last year for a steal from Tirerack.com in a 16" size & they look a million times better than steelies!

They are on my wife's Matrix. They are 16x7 with a +35mm offset. They were lighter than I would have guessed at around 17 lbs. They look great & provide a wider stance than the stock wheels & I got them on a closeout for $59 a wheel if I remember right.

I have 17" winter tires/wheels on my Corolla but I left my wife's Matrix at the stock 16" size.

wow I would have to start looking out for those closeout deals for some 5 spokes or similar wheels like those. which are actually like my stock rims, 5 spokes x2 per spoke if that made sense lol

$59 per rim is insane! but then the tires is what is going to set me back as they are most likely more expensive than the rims themselves

EDIT: I found them and they are $85 now boooo! but too bad they are only 16" available

The tires I put on were Bridgestone Blizzack 205/55R16 & yes, they were more than the wheels but I was going to buy the tires anyway & steelies would have cost as much as the alloy wheels & looked like crap too.

yeah I would definitely get alloys that cheap rather than steelies...or in this case for the OP to just upgrade..might cost more but totally worth it

I personally want to get 17's b/c 18's are too big IMO for the car and thats when the prices for tires gets expensive

I agree, that's why I went with 17" wheels myself.
