iphone mount

whats goin on guys..i recently got an iphone mount for the corolla (rocketfish mobile vehicle mount) and its not sticking to the plastic on the dash board or right side of front radio by the passenger seat ..only way the suction cup stays firm is through the windshield...is there something extra i could do so the suction cup could stick to the plastic..please advise

i got a mount and it only works on the windshield. Fooled around a bit with it and NO GO

All the mounts ive tried have only worked on the windsheild as well.

Those suction cups will never stick to plastic. They're intended for glass only.
Plastic surfaces are too uneven to generate enough suction - which is why some mounts provide an additional base/bracket with double sided 3M adhesive tape....but the adhesives will ruin your dash over time.

Buy velcro from your local auto store. stick one side to your iphone/ipod or case and the other on the dash and voila. that way you can remove it easily and its a lot cleaner of a look than the big bulky holder. and the goo just rubs off if you wanna take off the velcro at some point.
