did this fall off my car?

i was almost home today and heard a loud clank under my car. i saw something in my rearview mirror so i went back and picked it up. i dont know if it fell off my car or if its something i ran over. i checked under the car to try to identify if it had come from the car. i didnt see anything similar.

does this look familiar to anyone? thanks for any help.

It looks like a fender brace like goes from the fender to the radiator support on some cars. Only way to tell if it is yours is to open the hood and see if you have one on one side and not on the other. I am not even sure off the top of my head if ours has a brace or not, I haven't looked. I would venture as rusty as it is that it is probably not yours and was kicked up by your tire.

I agree that it is a fender brace. No way of knowing if it came off of your car though.

Looks like a fender brace from a chevy of other 1/2 ton truck. Is there any chance you could have just ran over it and it flicked up and hit under your car?

thanks for all the replies. nothing like that under the hood. it was a smooth road, so it seems unlikely something like that would have fallen out with no hardware with it. im due for an oil change so ill run it by one of the techs. im guessing i just ran it over. since the one end angles up, i could see how a tire could kick that ups into my car.

Doesn't look like a part from the Corolla to me, not that I've seen anyways.

+1

I drive a F-150 1/2 ton and that does look exactly like one of the rear quarter fender braces. Corolla doesn't have this..

I agree with the others, not from your car but it does look a fender brace from another car/truck. No worries IMO.

This is what I thought when I saw your picture.
Of course I don't feel the need to talk trash about another vehicle brand.

lol its because its a lemon and it doesnt run
a lot of the safety stuff has been recalled at some point

we have like 8 Chevy's in our family...two w/rebuilt engines and the rest are good as gold

but this one....dont get me started
soooooooo many things have been replaced and it was poorly made/engineered...it could have been a much better truck
my poor dad who is retired has wait for my mom or myself to come home so he can take the 4runner or my rolla to go out...then again we both are busy so he's left at home alone. We are going to get rid of the darn thing and get another Toyota or something...anything that runs would be great
