where does your temperature gauge/needle sit?

i got a 2010 corolla and i haven't been paying attention to the temperature needle till recently... and i don't recall sitting it so high at 50%... maybe i m mistaken...

where does your coolant temperature gauge usually sit? mine sits exactly at 50% (9:00)... if i remember correctly i thought it sits at around 30-40% (8:00) when i first got the car...

is there something wrong w/ my coolant?

thanks

to TN.

I would have to look closely next time but I believe it's close to the 9:00 position or a little under that. Either way, it's in the normal range.

mine is slightly below 50% also.

if you think its running a little hotter than normal, i'd first check the coolant levels to make sure you have enough.

Mine sits the needle's width above the 50% mark. That's where it's always sat since I bought the car a year ago.

mine sits almost a notch over 50% and I believe it has since I got the car. I had an issue with a leaking water pump and have had that fixed and coolant replaced, so everything should be okay.
