Your Corolla VS. Winter

How is your car holding up so far? How is it doing when burried after a storm.
This is my baby after the storm I got last night that is till going on. I've been doing okay. Plowed right through it until It burried itself. Other that the fact that they tires are pretty cheap and need to be rotated, I dont think its that bad in the snow for a small FWD car.

mine is holding up ok so far. it does exactly what a small fwd car does in snow/bad roads/ice ....
- breaks your back going over uneven harsh roads covered with snow
- traction off the line is a problem, keeping trac control off actually helps most of the times.
- vsc works great going on highway with icy roads and winter tires.
- gas milage is still good compared to paying premium for a high performance car and wasting it
- eco mode on piviot helps as well to reduce wheel spin.
- other than that its been working out good, havent gotten stuck yet and hasant let me down yet either. everything is working perfectly even in -30 C temps.

The most important key for winter driving is a set of nice winter tires. I have a 09 S without vsc/trac but my rolla is great for the extreme winter we are having in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada! We had at least 5 feet of snow for the past 2 days, and temperature is like -35C.......

One of the blizzards we had two weeks ago.

Just had another blizzard last night too. I feel like I'm screwing up my paint every time I brush off the snow. Is there any other way to do it?

Snow is just above where I live by about 700' but I love driving up to it. We had freezing rain after some snow last night which made the roads a sheet of ice until temps warmed up this morning above freezing.
