Windshield cracking

The windshield on my 09 Corolla has cracked again for the second time since March of last year.
The crack has appeared almost in the identical spot that it did last year.
It starts at the outside edge of the glass towards the bottom of the windshield on the driver side.

There is no indication of any impact on the windshield in that area.
Same thing applies regarding the crack last March.

I used the car Saturday and the crack was not there when I parked the car for the night.
Didn't notice any windshield cracks when I started the car yesterday morning.
Left the car for a couple of minutes to let it warm up and when I got back in it, the crack was there.
Crack is probably a foot long and I would've noticed it when I started up the car as it's almost right in my line of sight.

This seems like to much of a coincidence to me for windshields to crack in almost the same area for no obvious reason in such a short period of time.
The first windshield that cracked was the factory windshield.
Has anyone else had similar windshield issues with their 09 Corolla?

In Moncton, NB it was -15C this morning and mine is still perfect after driving 20 minutes going to the uni and coming back later on. My corolla's a 2010 CE. My windshield and rear glass is noisy when the car is cold, there's the sound of glass rubbing against styrofoam but I never had any cracks related to hot/cold.

Maybe the seats for the glass in the earlier year (ie 2009) are not as compressible and your glass was under compression at one point that would induce a small crack near the seats. It would afterward crack under temperature changes. I would go visit to the dealer as this is under normal conditions for the vehicle.
