Hey everyone,
i just got a new black 2010 corolla xrs and im already looking for the first thing i can do to it! any suggestions for really cool non-expensive mods i can start off with?
Good quality billet grill. Looks soooo nice on black or red corollas. See an example on Ebay, put in item no. 180498215241, the one I got. There are many others.

thanks!
i like that grill its pretty nice.
i was trying to search what i can do to get a badgeless look in front without it looking like its missing something though. any suggestions?
ALSO.. i have a pioneer avic d3 (double din, dvd/navi) system i wanted to put in, does anyone know how to install it in the corolla to hook up the steering wheel controls?
I think you summed it up when you say you don't want it to look like its missing something. There are other grills on that site that remove the badging and it makes the vehicle look very plain, there is already too little chrome IMO.
rallykid, thanks thats exactly what i needed
ilikebass, a tint and a drop was exactly what i was thinking..
im going to check out the grills and see if i like any, but it doesnt look terrible as it is. to be honest i never pictured myself buying a corolla but its a cute little car.
theres thousands of threads talking about intakes so i wont start another can of worms with that. im leaning towards the K&N one.
What color is your Xrs? I'd love to see pictures, another Xrs for the forum
As for intakes, I had my Injen CAI for about 3 months now and I love it, full throttle the sound is nice. Combined with the Borla 11795 Axle Back makes it even sound better. I"m looking into buying headers but still looking for the best ones. I hear tC headers are direct bolt on for our engines. I'm dropped on 9thGen Tein H-Techs and I couldn't be happier with the results of the drop

we share the same engine as the tc that is why wolf,
Weapon R is rated the best header for our car.
its also going to be my next mod...once the snow clears up....
haha im definetly waiting til the snow clears up to put the drop on it thats forsure.
my xrs is black.
i saw that thread with all the information u need showing all the springs and what they look like dropped and i dont want anything too crazy, but im looking to get like an inch or 1.5 max.
im no crazy car buff so ill look like a noob but what will the headers change to the power/ gas consumption etc. for the corolla? is it a mod worth getting?
I believe mine drop was more than 1.5 but its just about .5 above the wheel which I think is a perfect drop.
if you want 1.5 go with TRD.
it depends on the way the headers are, if the headers are 4-2-1 then you feel power at low to mid range,
if its 4-1 like the weapon r then the gains are mid to high.
