Scion just launched in Canada at the very end of 2010, and at only a few dealers. I expect 2011 (and finally realistically 2012) sales numbers to be much more accurate. 177 Scions isn't bad for December alone considering the limited dealers, IMO.
Since the corolla is their best selling car.....they should make more TRD products for the damn car! It is like a dream, never comes true.
Keep dreaming ...but seriously, as long as the Corolla is made the way it is (a four door commuter), TRD won't bother to make more than springs and what not.
Base on the above graphs.....it makes sense the corolla is behind.
Honda civic is leading coz there are too much Honda fans out there, aka people don't want to accept the fact that the civic is not that good of a car. The Si is okay but the other trim level is still running with a SOHC engine, come on it is the 21st century already!
Mazda 3 has better performance and styling, in North America, drivers demand more power than the corolla numbers! And if they like hatchback, Mazda will be their choice!
Jetta, Elantra and Cruze are just cheaper with their price tags.
I'm afraid that Toyota will make a desperate move in the future to sell more Corollas, such as lower the price or cut in quality to be able to lower the price.... If they add more Horse Power, they will lose in MPG and that will be another reason for some people to buy other cars. If they add quality tot the car, the price tag will go up. Seems as if there is no winning solution for the Corolla. There is too much competition out there. They will keep on selling cars to loyal Corolla buyers, but they will have a hard time selling their cars to new buyers.

In the US, the Corolla barely outsold the Civic, but that number includes Matrix, and of course, Toyota sells more to fleet than Honda.
I agree the Elantra is cheaper, the Jetta and Cruze I would think are more expensive than the Corolla, especially when you load them up with options.
Last time I went to Canada (Vancouver to be exact), I saw lots of Proteges back then, which means the hatchback 3s are more desired with Canadians than Americans.

98% of Corolla buyers never change a single screw on it as long as they own it. If TRD items were profitable, you can bet Toyota would be producing them by the truckload.
