A lot of other car forums I've been a part of have a ride of the month type of deal. How about we start a Corolla of the month? I don't know if this has been mentioned before here but it might be fun. I know there's a lot of competive guys/gals out here who love to show off their ride. Like over at Mazda247.com you post like two exterior pics, engine bay pic and interior pic, list your mods. Start a thread with the poll option and vote that way. What do you guys think?
on thenewx.org they use x of the month like a photo contest. get a shot of your ride doing its thing in a creative setting or with the coolest overall shot and everyone votes. the only downside here is that you end up with (over there anyway) 100 different rides to vote for since all you have to do is submit a pic and you're in. the upside here is that this seems like a smaller closer knit community, so less likely to have 100 people nomming themselves...
on clubfrontier (can you tell i used to own a nissan?) we used a nomination setup - one person submits someone else's ride, then needs a set number of people to also nom that person to be in. you end up with a select few to vote for, but the downside is that they require 5 noms to be in, so you need to be all over the site with pics and be known for all your mods to be nom'd to begin with. you couldn't submit your own ride for nom.
I like the first idea you mentioned,like you said, we're a smaller close knit comm. so I dont think we're going to have the problem of so many rides. I can prob see like 10 rides avg at the start. We should def make it interesting. Like our own take on it you know. Keep the ideas flowing guys. Lets hear what you think.

I think everyone in it should be nominated. There are way to many corollas on here with quite a few mods that it would be hard to keep track.
But, there would have to be some kind or restrictions maybe?
For example,
You can on win once a year or something.
You can only enter 3 months without taking a break.
Maybe have best cosmetic, best performance, best all around.
Just my 2 cents, that way everybody has their chance to shine

I am liking the 1 win a year, 3 entries in a row before 1 month break. I say we limit the number of people per month as well to keep it down... say 10-15 then a vote to decide the winner. You cannot nominate yourself, and it takes 2-5 nominations before you're eligible... or something like that. Nominations should be done via PM so nobody knows who has how many votes to get in. Another idea, the next month has to be "run" by the previous month's winner to keep it from all falling on 1 guy, unless someone wants to spearhead this.
also, what's the criteria?
Most Helpful? Nicest car? Best mods done (in that month)? Most mods done (that month)?

Believe it or not, there wont be tons and tons of people trying to submit at the same time as others, for lots of people on here, including myself, dont feel there car is finished or even close to be ready to be the ride of the month. Just some insight on that. Also, I think it should just be a straight up situation like this...
1. First submitted picture of the vehicle
2. Second submitted picture of the vehicle
3. List of mods that are on the car
4. List of future mods possibly
5. Brief description of you and your ride and why you chose that exact one
Just an example of what I think would be suitable, what do you guys think? Also, try to keep it fair between people from someone who is all decked out and usually would win all the time against someone not so lucky to have so many good mods and such. Favoritism is something we need to keep away from.

I say unique mods would be listed. IE custom work, or anything to set it apart. good example is you... you are the only person i know of on here who has converted LE to S fully, bonus points for you.
As you were getting towards, not necessarily the quantity of mods, but the uniqueness and quality. Unsure if future mods would be needed, any one of us can say Supercharge, Slam, Nos, etc... but maybe Current Mods you're working on or 1-2 next mods you're saving/working on.
