Canada 2010 Super White Corolla S

Hey guys! Bought my new Corolla back in late october. Have done a few minor modifications and would like to show them off here. Problem is I don't know how to post pictures. I am behind my work computers firewall so photobucket is a no-no. Any ideas?

What I have done is I removed the stock 16" alloys and sold them. I added flat black 18" rims with a red strip and 215/40R18 tires. I also installed a Pioneer AVH-3200BT head unit. I did the install myself and even managed to flush mount the bluetooth mic into the dash instead of mounting is somewhere visable.

I am looking at upgrading the exhaust next. I am not that much into performance but I would like a nice sound. I am hoping to do a dual exhaust... somehow, lol. Is this possible? I checked underneath and from a quick look it seems that the room is there. I would probably have to do it custom and of course with the dual I would have to keep the diameters down but maybe some nice exhaust tips could enhance the sound.

Let me know what you think of this idea and any help with the pictures thing would be appreciated!

Loving some of the rides here by the way!

Brad

Love the Super White, mine is the same color. Dual exhaust is pointless as you will lose too much back pressure, lose performance and most don't sound good on smaller engines.

On a side note, how do you like the 3200BT? I have been looking at this and the Clarion VX401.

My work computers do the same thing. I just take pics with my camera and upload them to the computer, then upload them here

I have a 4 cyl. Camry with Borla dual exhaust. It sounds really nice, a nice low growl, and it made a slight difference performance wise. It's no Corolla, but duals on a 4 cyl. isn't always a bad idea.

i would say that a dual exhaust will kill your low end because loss of back pressure. Also an exhaust tip wont help your sound but just the look. The muffler will be what determines most of the sound. i like borla but you can look at either borla magnaflow or OBX. those are the brands that pretty much everyone has on here

try using Flikr.com to upload your pics. Flikr makes your photos look even better once you upload them. Would love to see your ride with the 18s on it.

Yes sorry I meant enhance the look because the pipes will have to be fairly small to avoid the loss of power. Do you think if I kept the diameters down that I could actually see a slight performance increase? I am more interested in the unique look of a Corolla with a dual exhaust than anything. I wanted to have one pipe on each side of the car.

If you want to do true dual exhaust then your going to have to get a Y pipe and put it right after the header. dont go the cheap way where they weld a second pipe back where the axle is and it looks like a backwards "h" if you know what i mean

like this

Love the 3200BT by the way. It's really easy to use and provides a better sound than my old stereo without any speaker upgrades. I am going to get the sat radio and navigation at some point. I may even get the rear view camera just because its available.

Also, I ordered the SWI-PS from ebay and used it to make my steering wheel controls available. It worked like a charm. The whole install took about 3-4 hours.

A few of the stereo upgrade.

The stock stereo just as we started taking it apart:

All pulled apart:

New unit in!

Finished product. You may notice the hole to the right of the clock at the bottom. I am waiting for a module so I dont have to use a switch to bypass the handbrake. The module will use those 2 wires and be buried behind the stereo and the mic in the last picture will fill the hole!

Was a lot of work and still more to come. It was however well worth it and I love how the orange colors on the stereo fit the dash lighting so well!
