This is a guide to help remove a broken cable from your AUX jack. If you break or damage anything while following this DIY, dont come cryin to me.
Start by removing the Silver trim on the side of the HVAC controls. Once those are removed, pull up the trim around the shifter. This will allow you to pull out the compartment below the AUX jack that has the flip up door and the 12v plug. There's a screw on each top corner of this peice. With this pocket out of the way, you can now access the AUX/SRS pannel. Make sure to have the key OUT of the ignition before proceeding to the next step.
The panel will pull out from the sides like all the others have. Once out, remove the Airbag indicator plug by pressing on the two squares in the middle of the plug, and pulling the plug towards the front of the car.
Next, you can remove the AUX jack plug. It works in a similar fashion as the other, but its tab is on the bottom of the plug. This next picture shows the plug turned upside down so you can see what it looks like.
With this panel unplugged, now you need to remove the AUX switch. There is a tab on the top and bottom that secure the jack in the panel. You can ues a flathead screw driver to press on one. With one of the pressed, the switch should start to come loose a bit from the panel. This next pictures shows the tab with the switch out of the panel. It is on the top of the Jack, just to the right of the white sticker. Nevermind the screwdriver in this pic. Its for the next step.
Once its out, you gotta start disassembling it. The picture above shows where to pry to remove the jack bezel. This is the front of the jack as its in the panel. The bezel has the flap that says AUX on it.
Once the bezel is off, you need to remove the cap from the back of the jack. Pry on the back, and also, while prying out, you need to pry the cap up. Basically just twist the screwdriver a bit and it will start to slide out.
Once it looks like the pic below, just pull the cap off.
Next, you will pull the PCB out of the jack casing. Once out, pry the black cap of the back of the green AUX jack.
Pulling the black cap of the jack will reveal a metal contact that is triangular in shape. you should be able to use a needle or a paperclip to stick through the back of the jack next to the metal triangle and use it to push the broken cable out the front of the jack.
Hope this helps
