Question about leasing a corolla

I am thinking about leasing a corolla, but I just wanted to see what other people have been paying lately.

Can you tell things like your monthly payment, lease terms, which trim package, down payment, and any other relevant info?

I would say the majority purchased, so you may not get a ton of replies on this. Run a search for lease as I know it has been discussed a few places.

Leasing is a fancy word for renting. There can be some big overage charges as well. Too many accumulated miles, or what they deem to be excessive wear (you'd be surprised), so even if you want the car for the 2 years or whatever you may end up paying way more than you bargained for....be cautious.

a friend of mine leased an 09 matrix 4 months ahead when we got our 2009 corolla S. she opted for the 3 year lease contract and it was a lease to own agreement. the total leased price was something like CAD$23,000. she paid CAD$370 for 3 yrs and when she finished the 3 yr lease contract she still paid something like CAD$9,000 plus in order to own the matrix. she could have financed the CAD$9,000 plus for another 2 yrs but since she has the CAD$9,000, she just paid it and got done with toyota. as far as i see it, that is a good contract. toyota did not bother to look at over mileage and excessive use and damage because she bought the car eventually.

I am leasing a 2010 Black Sand Pearl Corolla S with the premium package.

16 inch alloys, fog lights, rear spoiler, sunroof, AM/FM CD player, 6 speakers, auxillary audio jack, auto sound leveling, audio controls on steering wheel, auto on/off headlights, and i also have bluetooth.

The lease is for 36 months and 15,000 miles a year. Of course the month after i leased the car, they started to offer the free 2 year/25,000 mile maintenance plan, pretty mad about that.

At the time they were offering a lease deal on the Corolla LE for $149 a month and $1,499 down plus taxes, tags, registration, etc. But i didnt want the LE, i wanted the S.

I put $1,500 down which includes first months payment, and $195.18 each month for the remaining 35 months of the lease. Total payments coming out to $8,331.30. Total mileage for the lease is 45,000 miles.

Oh and they said when i return the car i get $1,000 down payment assistance if i purchase or lease a new toyota/scion.

Hope this helped with your decision, feel free to ask anymore questions!

I remember when I bought my car I financed but the dealer said something like if you ever got in a accident with the car while leasing you dont have to worry about selling the car and just return it after the contract is up.. Would there be any penaties for this?

I'm not sure with Toyota, but when i leased my 2005 Nissan Altima 2.5S i was in four accidents, none at my fault. $14,000 in damages between all four accidents. When i returned the car i paid nothing extra. and i returned it with exactly the mileage that i was given.

leasing is good if you just want to use a car for a few years and then return it.
