2009 Corolla LE Newbie Questions

I spent the past hour searching/reading threads, but did not quite get my answer. Just purchased a 2009 Corolla LE with 35k, prior Hertz rental, came with only one key.

What are the dealer rates to cut/program a spare key?

Can anyone recommend an aftermarket retailer (store, ebay seller, and/or website) for uncut keys and a dealer in the Bay Area to cut/program it? What rates can I expect going aftermarket?

My car has a flashing LED light in the center console labeled "security". Is this a factory installed anti theft alarm?

Are all LE models equipped with keyless entry? My car came with factory rims and cruise control if that is any indication of an option package. If so, how can I verify that it does and which remote I should purchase?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to TN,
For the key: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/UNCUT...Q5fAccessories
Anyplace can cut the key but for programing, its specialized locksmiths and dealers, because ur in Union City, I'm gonna recommend to go to stoneridge mall (the one in pleasanton), they have a kiosk that cut n program special keys
The flashing LED light is the standard immobilizer for all the corolla's

Thanks for the response. What is the going rate for cutting and programming? I was at Great Mall yesterday and one of the locksmith kiosks quoted me $99 for key/cut/programming.

Also, how can I check whether or not I have keyless entry? Do all LE models come with keyless entry?

if your car had factory keyless, the remote would be built into the key.

The only way to know is to look at your current key fob...does it have the 4 buttons...if so then u do if its just a black standard looking key without button then u dont...
100 bux if it had the key fob that i sent u sounds like a good deal...

Did some research.. I need a STANDARD key (no keyless entry on my car).

Now I need to find a place to cut and program a blank key purchased from ebay.

Fremont Toyota is charging $157 to cut and program a blank key (additional $70 for OEM blank).

Hayward Toyota is charging $90 (additional $30 for OEM blank).

Great Mall locksmith kiosk is charging $99 for the key, cut, and programmed.

Is there a cheaper locksmith/dealer that can cut and program my ebay key?
