I am just wondering if anyone has had any problems with the S1 Nokya yellow light bulbs. I have been using them for about two weeks or so, and today I noticed my foglight glass cracked on both sides. Could the new Nokyas I installed have caused this? Keep in mind I havent hit anything in the front end.
Also does anyone know if the HIR bulbs may cause this too ort any other possible damage?
Im at a loss... If you guys arent having problems with your set up, maybe someone doesnt like me very much since I am sure I havent hit anything with my corolla...
Going to have to order a new set... any sugestions to a cheap place to orders these?? I checked ebay, the cheapest ia 55.00, with a 20$ shipping charge, and that is for both sides, and other hardware I dont need
That is gonna be pretty pricey to replace. I doubt that the bulbs had to do something with them breaking. Either when you were driving gravel, rocks, etc. something hit it. Or your theory of somebody not liking you is true.

Only other thing I can think of is that the lenses got really hot (from the bulbs) and then cooled down really fast (maybe you drove through a puddle?).

I doubt anyone not liking you will just damage your fogs. That takes some concentration. Easier will be just key your car.
I am not sure if they are OEM or not.. I had body work done to the car because someone backed right into my car while it was parked and the bumper was replaced, and I think the fog laps as wel..
As for going over a puddle, I am not so sure that would be the case because the the bulbs are supposely OEM output and if your theory were true it would have happened with the Regular bulbs.

I would think they're aftermarket fog housings. It happened to me, on my aftermarket kit one lens cracked 2 months after installation and I installed yellow overlay to avoid water penetration during winter and now both lenses are cracked and vinyl overlay burned up.
I have now ordered new housing through eBay, directly from this guy here (Hong Kong) (16$ea side+ship)and I got em on hand. They seem a better quality than the previous kit I ordered but they're not flawless. I will be replacing them when I get a chance this spring.
For the cause of the problem I think It's just bad manufacturing quality and material choice. Thermal expansion of the lens and the housing might not match creating too much residual stress making them crack. I used to have fog-lights on all the time even during daytime but I'm getting the habit of closing them during the day.
I'm thinking of maybe curing the new ones in the oven before I install them.
edit : I have 55W H11 "blue" coated bulbs, maybe I would install LEDS not sure depending on the price of the bulbs
