I got crunched

I'm sitting at a red light, on the way to work (3rd shift) and I could see him coming. I don't think he hit the brakes until a few feet behind me. Whole back bumper is gone and the muffler and tail pipe is damaged. Appraiser will be here tomorrow to assess damage.

Without me providing more details and pictures, has anybody else had their Corolla (mine is a 2010 LE) rearended and did you notice any new problems after repairs? Any suggestions on what I should have them look at that I wouldn't be visible?

BTW, no injuries and police showed up to have a long chat with the other driver.

The biggest thing that I did not notice when i was hit in my old car was frame damage, and as a result, the car was written off (was older car and would have cost more to fix than what insurance paid out). The other damage, like broken bumper and those parts, were easy to spot.

I had my 00 Corolla rear-ended, but was not given a chance to see how she drove, it was totaled... then I got the 09!

Frame and Pilars are susceptible to hidden damage. Basically everything needs to be checked.
