swaybar installed torque question

I installed a trd rear sway tonight, it calls for the bolts to be installed backwards, so the bolts get inserted from the top, why? secondly its calls for 184 ft lbs, i dont have a air gun, i used a 1/2 breaker bar and a 2 ft long gas pipe for leverage to tighten them do you think this is tight enough should I be concerned?

Depends on your physical size.
Rent a torque wrench for a few hours to do the job properly and for your peace of mind. You do not want that sway bar coming off on the highway.

If u hear a clunking noise when going over a speed bump or when ur car goes from an angle to a flat surface....then it became loose...my friend installed mine after 6 months i started hearing the clunking noise n found out was loose then retightened it

X2. I'm sure they specify 184 ft-lbs for a reason. I couldn't get at mine with a good angle for enough leverage on one side so I ended up propping the end of my torque wrench up and using my foot. Don't judge me . . . .

I also just install mine but I used air tools to retighten it. Didn't put the bolts on backwards tho. (Guess I should have read further ) Plus air gun wouldn't fit that way. Anything I should worry about down the road? It's on there pretty tight.

If the nut/bolts were tightened with the same amount of physical effort it took to get them off, you should be good to go. I suppose you could always check it a week down the road for peace of mind..

Sometimes. Not always. Reversing the nut-bolt is, should the nut fall off, the bolt will still keep the pieces together.
