LED Load resistors

So i want to replace my turn signal/parking lights (3457A) and my Tail/Stop Light (7443) with LED's but I hear you must have load resisters or the signal will blink crazy fast.

I seen some LED's on ebay that say they are just plug and play, direct swap and that no mods are needed. I want them because they last longer but im aware that they are actually not brighter than the stock bulbs right?

So anyway, do I really need to get load resistors for these LED's?

Keep in mind that none of the current LED replacement bulbs are as bright as old skool stock incandescents. Sometimes the LED is dimmer by quite a large margin, but yet costs 2-5X as much.
