Flashing Passenger SRS light

I have a 2010 Corolla S where the passenger SRS light (the one with the lock on it) flashes red real quick when the ignition is turned off. Does anyone know what this might be.

Is it the lock symbol that is flashing?

Yes. As soon as my wife sits in the car and puts on the seatbelt, it goes away-- car is still off. Think it's normal?

Not normal. Why? I don't know. Should'nt be powered if car is off.

The light with the lock symbol is the engine immobilizer...it blinks while the key is out of the ignition. The car could be off and the key still in the ignition and it won't blink...

Well why the heck did they put it next to SRS indicator making you think something is wrong with it?

Thanks!

Sorry for my earlier post.
I do not have this blinking light situation when I'm in the car with the car off. Possibly because my car have "smart key" and my proximity may have switched the light off when I'm in the car.
