What could be wrong

Took my Corolla to the dealer beacuse my CEL and VSC Lights were on. Was told that my air flow meter and charcoal canister were bad and needed to be replaced. Did some checking around on this problem and saw that the fuel cap may be bad. Purchased another fuel cap. Installed the cap and also dis-connected the red terminal on the battery. That seemed to do the trick. Now when I fill the gas tank up the car is very hard to start, takes about 3-4 turns to get started and when it does it runs rough for about a minute or so. Could my fuel pressure be low ?? or is some other problem there.

Do you have any kind of aftermarket intake on your car? If not, that should cover under warranty in terms of the air flow meter on the intake.

You might want to do a google search to show you how to reset the ecm after a battery disconnect. I cant remomber the sequence right now of letting it idle for a few minutes then turn on the defrost...I think your ecm just needs to relearn..worth a shot

I strongly suggest you to put back the stock air filter back when you bring it to the dealership. They will try to blame on the K&N filter is the cause of the problem to the air flow meter
