Failed Alternator at 155,000

Well something had to break eventually.
It started by sounding like a bad water pump noise.
Turned out to be the Alternator.
Toyota wants $600 plus for new Alternator.
Kragen & PepBoys have nothing for this car - Dealer Only
Instead had the alternator rebuilt at an independent shop - $155 for the part.
Finally got new spark plugs plugs as well.
Car running very nicely now.

My Corolla feels like a Mini Lexus compared to My Spouse's 1997 Volvo 850

It's just amazing that you have that many miles on your 10th Gen Corolla already. What's not surprising is that it has been trouble free just like my many Corollas have been.
