10th Gen high mileage check in.

So, who on here has REALLY driven there 2009+ Corolla?

I know there is a member in the 150k mile range, and another at like 120k or so.

Just picked up a 2009 Corolla S. with 51k miles on it. and so far love it, just seeing who has alot of miles on there cars as i plan to put about 2500 miles a month on it.

here in vancouver, canada... if you got yourself a brand new car and you plan to finance it for a number of years, the dealer gives you like 24,000 kilometers per year. what is the going mileage in the US for the same situation?

Can you clarify this? It sounds like when you buy a car that the dealer only allows you to drive a certain number of kilometers per year for a car you purchased, is that correct? Or were you referring to leasing?

Average mileage here is considered 12,000-15,000 miles per year.

That really only applies to leasing, not financing.

I'm sure the allowed mileage is probably similar throughout North America on leases.

So far I got 2 years on the car with 47K KM on it... Is that average?? I dunno since I never used to track mileage on my old beater.

And yeah I think joeylgarcia is refering to Leasing, any response to that?

Most of the leases in the US are 10k-12k miles annually. I once had a lease where for 15k miles but I prepaid extra for it.

USA Total mileage

2009 LE purchased 5/10/2008. 126,345k miles, full synthetic, oil changes every 10k. Best mod was to add cruise control, it took me about 15 minutes.

Just out of curiousity, what oil filter is safe to use for 10k mi? I use fully synthetic oil, usually 5w or 0w-20 Mobile1. I just get nervous and change it somewhere between 5,000-7,500 miles because I'm worried the Fram filter I used will go bad before the oil!

That's a ton of miles though. I'm at 33,000 miles from an S purchased 8/31/09

i use the Toyota OEM filter. I run extended drain intervals, about 10k but the filter I always change at 5k.
