Accent Color Change Over

FIRST OFF: I want to thank the following guys for the inspiration for this change over!! ilikebass7, Dimaoala, Jackss731, Persian Scarface. I would have stuck with white, but you guys thought of something I hadn't even bothered thinking of for some reason unknown to me. I'm lovin this!! I can't wait till completion! THANKS!!!!!

OK... so you guys have convinced me. I'm changing my accent color from white to back.

So far I've done one step... or I guess, two...

And here is phase 1 of the changeover (will try to get better pics, can barely tell black is on there)









Might paint the entire lower part of the "diffuser" (bottom center of bumper).

I will keep the first post updated.

Black Diffuser time!

Here are some teaser pics of the prep while I'm waiting for the first round to dry





OK, well didn't come out as clean as I had hoped. I guess I got a pit anxious and rushed it.

When I peeled it off, it didn't come off so smooth, but I got a fix.


so some pinstripe over the edges cleaned it up.

That looks a lot better; much more subtle and smooth. It is one of the little things that people will really have to look to pin down what makes it look different than the standard issue Corolla.

Paint that rear diffuser for sure and get those logos painted! are you gonna do matte black logos or? Looks good so far flawed. i already like it better!

I am thinking a flat black, but depends on the pinstripes as I want to keep it the same

well no time to do anything today as father-in-law went on a mini road trip and got a bunch of go-kart parts for the go-kart we're building. Tomorrow is go-kart as well but hope to do my side pinstriping.

i meant flat black not matte. kinda the same right? yeah i would do flatte black. with mGM it would look SOOO Sexy

still no updates, but have it set for the front side pinstripe changeover. Might sand down my T logos tonight... depending how tired I am from our go-kart build (father in law's site has info on go-kart if you're nosy and/or bored *kendieckmann.com*). When I paint my Honda lip, I will hopefully be doing the wheels at the same time, but that is some time away at this point. Pics as soon as I can for ya!

sweet man good luck. i soked my emblems for a few hours and then sanded them. came off quickly

Plan on tinting your headlights like TheGreenKnight did? Leaving 'em as is? Or hopefully gonna get a set of Xrs/S lights?

I'd love to get some S/XRS lights, but might eventually go retro-fits and have them painted at the same time. That's down the line though. Spacers and bars first
