Bad luck today :( Need some insight.

So i was distracted when i was driving today (i had 4 people in the backseat) and i ran a curb.( my car is lowered on coilovers). My rear bumper fell off, my side skirts were dented and some plates from underneath the car came off. Not to mention somehow my borla exhaust sounds like a helicopter now. So my question is, what do the 3 rubber plates do? Can i put them on myself? They were held by these 3 small black rubber things which also fell off. I put the bumper back on and now im wondering about these plates. Thanks guys! Hopefully your help will save me from this depressing day!

Exhaust hangers are fine. Just some plates from underneath. Like when you lift the car up you should see these small soft black rubber hole plugs. Those fell off with the 3 plates. I'm just wondering if it might ruin anything if i drive without the plates.

ask jeff for a diagram of those plastic covers under the car....they are used to protect essential components from hitting rocks/small stuff on the road.

I know that under the bumper in the corners at the front, like right underneath where the fog lights are, on each side there is a plastic piece. These caused trouble for me when I was trying to replace a fog light. Not sure what they do, probably keep water and mud out of important places and/or dampen road noise.

I just noticed you said you had 4 people in the back seat.... Corollas only have 3 seatbelts back there... This kinda sounds like a dumb move on your part?

My advice - Pay attention while youre driving and be thankful you hit a curb and not another car or a small child

...we were all young once. Maybe some of us still are?

Good thing you're okay. You'll own many cars in your life but only have one life so proceed with caution.

i think he's realized his mistake... stuff happens..
he came here for some words of comfort and not for us to rag on him some more.

but as for the damages.. i dont have a clue.. as thestone11 mentioned.. maybe jeff will swing around and help out..
but do be careful... glad to hear nothing serious happened

lol, i knew where i was driving, just underestimated how long the curb was. Made a turn but it wasnt wide enough.

Shiet, I'm starting to worry, but my exhaust seems to be fine until its on idle like on a steep hill. What are the cons of the crack? Will it effect my performace by alot?

bad luck today for me too but it has nothing to do with my corolla ... i got scammed 325$ when i tried to buy and iphone 4 from craiglsts, met the seller in person he had the phone the battery was completely dead so i could not try it thought everything was ok it had factory seal and in box with all accessories. got home put it on charge and found out it was a knock off verison of the iphone 4, outside looks exactly like it but the system is difference and its 100% crap, tried calling the guy but he keeps ignoring my calls. never buy from craigslists!
