picked her up this afternoon from calgary's stoney road mazda. brand new with 3 kms, i had the pleasure of driving her back to edmonton.. .here are some pics i took from my iphone.
Filled up 40 bucks of 91 octane and hit the road ! (yes the tank wasant full, i think its a 55L full tank)
after reaching back to the city, about 2.5 hrs of driving.
I averaged pretty damn good milage. was around the 8L/100kms mark with an average speed between 100-120 kms/hr. i barely hit boost, i think the max i hit was 5 psi on the highway. you can see how much the gas bar moved in the last two pictures.
this car is very engaging car to drive, the chasis is always alive keeping you alert and yes the steering is tight and very responsive. i found the seats to be quite comfortable as well, they hold you in place. overtaking on the highway is a breeze, dip in the gas pedal even just a little and
overall, i very much enjoyed the drive, the new car smell, and yes it was very very tempting to step on it knowing there is 280 lb tq under that right foot!
more pictures tomorrow!
I will still stick around on TN, afterall two of my buddies still have their rolla's.
Congrats. I absolutely hate the way the new 3 looks, but that's just personal preference. With that said, it's an awesome car with great bang for the buck when it comes to modding.
looks good. good luck with yours. my friend had one before it decided to spontaneously combust in front of the dealership one day as he was bringing it in for an oil change.
I like it. The mazda3 was first on my list when it came to looks and performance for the money, but with the long commute I went for the corolla for fuel efficiency.
Excellent choice I'm really starting to like Mazdas more and more. Although I haven't had the pleasure of driving one.. yet
Congrats on the new ride!
