Just wondering if anyone here has used the magnetbra on their Corolla?
It is a magnetic sheet that is cut to cover the front leading edge of the hood and extends back several inches.
I have used these on a Grand Am before with great success.
I was wondering if anyone has tried one on a 10th generation Corolla and could comment on fit and performance?
Thanks!
Brad

I like my 3M Clear Bra a lot more as you don't see it & it protects a lot more.

How long to they last? I seen a lot of those clear bras on the hood turn yellow and cracks. Maybe there aren't the 3M or Texas's heat is too harsh on it.
Unless that magnet has some sort of fabric on the underside it will end up scratching the paint. We sell a lot of magnets at work for car doors and unless you constantly take it off and clean underneath it debris gets under there and will rub against the car.

I used one with no issues. There is a very smooth backing on this thing that has prevented any scratches for over 10 years of use. I did not notice any paint problems. There from time to time was a very small amount of dirt under there, but if you take it off twice a year, it doesn't build up and I never experienced any paint damage from it.
Guess no one else on the forum has tried it other than myself.
I'll look into the 3M, but it sure looks like it needs to be professionally installed.
Has anyone taken a rock hit with the 3M and if so, did it tear the clear bra material? I would think it would get nicked up and look terrible if it took too many impacts.
Thanks for the replies!

mine took a rock hit, and yes it looked bad, it does tear the clear bra material. but that was ONE rock hit in 2.5 yrs of owning and driving it on a lot of highway trips. regardless, its expensive to get a 3M, then having to replace that even once or twice ? the cost adds up.
i noticed most of the rock chips were at the bottom by the fog lights and lower bumper area, not many noticeable ones on the hood.

I've had many rocks hit it without any damage. The benefit is that it protects the entire front bumper, hood, headlights, side mirrors, side skirts, & door edges. It's also much cheaper than repainting the entire front end of the car. The magnetic cover hardly protects anything.

Supercharged...
Did you install it yourself, or have someone else do it for you?
From the clear bra video I have seen it looks like a lot of work and easy to mess up with bubbles, etc.
Thanks to everyone for their observations and comments, I appreciate it.

I had it done so that it looked right. At the time the economy was in the toilet & the guy did my tint & complete Clear Bra for $600 which I thought was an awesome deal.

after looking at my front bumper this morning, I really should have jumped on that bra when I did my tint... it looks like someone went crazy with a leaf blower shooting kitty litter
