Should My 2010 LE Have Came With Keyless Entry? Security Light.
I bought a 2010 Corolla LE tonight. The dealer thought the car had keyless entry. but couldn't find the fobs. He said he would call Enterprise (rental company they bought from) and see if it was suppose to have came with one.
My question is I have a security light (red blinking light that have a lock pictured) that comes on when I lock the doors. Is this a sign the car should have keyless entry?
The keyless entry fob is part of the key to start the car with. It's one piece. All 2010 Corolla LE's came with this feature so I would assume the only key you got was a valet key....which will start your car and lock it, yes, but it will not work the glove box at all.
Was your Corolla certified? If so, they are required to give you ALL the keys, even if they were lost. They are supposed to make new ones for you in order for it to be certified.

Master key is present.
Smart Key, if equipped. A second key is expected by a TCUV purchaser
I copied this from the Toyota dealership network website (Dealer Daily), which has a checklist of everything required to be certified. The same thing is listed on our own dealership certification forms we send in to Toyota....if there aren't 2 keys, then we either pay to make a 2nd one or it doesn't get certified.

Regular consumers can't get in the website, it's a dealer only site. (I know, I know.....)

I only received ONE key when both my wife and I purchased our 2010 Corolla LE's last fall. Hers has the remote that locks/unlocks the doors remotely. She also received only one key.
It is my understanding that the remote unlock feature was an option on the 2010 LE. If this is not correct and the feature is standard, can someone confirm this?
Also our vehicles were TCUV. My vehicle even had some cigarette damage on the fabric at the time of purchase. The salesman had me come back and he had a vendor "repair" one of the burn-throughs although there are still some visible spots on the driver's seat (which I was saving up $ in order to replace the fabric). And no, I'm not interested in seat covers, etc. I want it to appear as it did from the factory.
I know this is drifting from the OP's original question, but it begs the question....don't the dealers have to adhere to certain standards when selling TCUV and if things are left out, is there documentation we consumers can quote to "compel" the dealers to make good (e.g. 2 keys, etc) ???

I have brought this up in a previous discussion. Toyota has these certification standards for a reason, because, as they say, "The best new cars make the best used cars". Now, if Toyota were to constantly get reports about dealerships cutting corners on certifying cars, and cerifying them improperly, then they're not going to be too thrilled with that dealership.
And you're correct, my mistake. The keyless entry was an option on the 2010 LE Corollas. However, after doing some research, out of the hundreds, and I mean HUNDREDS of 2010 Corollas we sold in 2009 and 2010, we only sold (2) LE's without the keyless entry. Kind of a rare, ah, option.
Regardless of that, 2 keys, if they're the keyless entry or not, should have come with the OP's car at the time of purchase.

Do you have the metal key tag at all? Or if you go to the nearest Toyota dealership they should be able to tell by your VIN number if it has keyless entry or not.

Sorry to dredge up an old thread, but I have the exact same problem as the original poster. Bought a 2010 Corolla LE, previous rental car, received two keys plus one valet key, all with transponder chips for the engine immobilized but without remotes. The dealer couldn't give me a straight answer on whether or not it has keyless entry installed; he suggested that it did, but that was probably haut to get me to buy the car. I'm trying to figure out if I need to install an aftermarket system or if I just need a key fob. Is there a way figure this out since it wasn't a standard feature? Any idea where I can locate the receiver? Thanks!
If the car was bought from Enterprise Holdings, you might be out of luck. The dealer should just new keys for you since Enterprise probably lost the keys.
