I've seen a 2zz swapped xD around the web somewhere.

Question is, what engine are you planning to drop in?

We have RPM in works on a midpipe/header, have had the borla axle back(I'm sure you know of this) otherwise not much. Eager to hear about mani/ unichip(something that doesn't see light of day here). Love your color scheme btw

thanks for the compliment and welcome!
Haven't really taken any pictures lately but found one on my phone

we had a guy from P.R who built his own turbo kit He made I believe 240hp at 12psi I believe. Sadly he never tuned it. After awhile. He blew his motor. Instead of replacing the motor, he went 2zz and haven't heard about him since. as for me, Im not 100% sure Im going to swap just because I only have 27k miles. But most likely ima try just to stand out from the rest (mite just wire tuck and whatnot) I would go with a 2az from a tc. The word is that the left engine and trans mount are the same with the xd. the right engine mount isn't but i doubt its a huge problem. after looking it over i do say its plausible. but its gonna require relocating the battery and may interfere with the ac line. but i would deal with that if the time comes. I would like to make 200hp all motor or 300hp on a trd s/c. wouldn't be bad for a 2600lbs car . I like the 2zr because it has torque, and great from a dig . but wished they had cams and pistons and I would be pleased with that. One xd owner took one for the team and decided to let je performance (one of the biggest shops in the east coast wif ptuning and altered atmostphere) in baltimore md to work on the intake manifold.. they were not satisfied as to the very little gains they made so they just redesigned and were suppose to hear soon whether je performance is pleased with the gains enough to go in production made by sikki. as for unichip. one xd just recently started getting his car tested so not much info on that yet.

Does anyone here running a complete exhaust system along with the weapon R headers? would like to hear the sound of that. I believe our cars can make 160hp all motor. But hardly any aftermarket parts...

Starting from the top! We all heard about those guys from PR haha, theres also a member on here who succesfully turboed his XRS, but others will tell you about that.. Theres also a sticky post on turbo-ing and such.
I would love to make 200hp all motor but with the lack of interest in our car doesnt seem very possible :/
I have been interested in intake manifolds as another easy bolt on, but from I've researched they dont really give THAT many gains unless the rest of the breathing system is completed.
There are a few who have Weapon R headers, but they've reported really minimal gains mainly in the low end(climbing hills and such, of course weapon r never posted any numbers..)
160 might be a little more realistic but that is if we have some sort of aftermarket support and maybe with the piggyback running a good tune?! After headers/midpipe I'll deffin be moving on to piggyback research. It'd be great (if its not against forum rules) if you could post the thread that you guys have going regarding your contact with tune shops/aftermarket shops etc!!

oh yea these p.r guys go hard lol. 2zz on everything.. xd.. yaris. and so on.. from there they go all motor for more bragging rights lol

well ima bring some more goodies from the xd club

With the intake manifold... yes, intake manifolds are mostly best for f/i .. on the other hand we had a company by the name of dynatek who made a concept of the intake before their company fled from the scene. we had a dyno run and heres what we had so far

Here are the dyno results of the new long-tube header for the 1.8L Yaris TS and Scion xD (possibly other apps as well).
Equipped with just a home-made air intake, the otherwise stock Xd produced 123 wheel hp and 121 ft-lb of torque.
Equipped with the long-tube headers and 2.5-inch mid pipe (2.25 would work equally well) and no axle back, the motor produced 134 wheel hp and 134 ft-lb of torque.
At just 3000 rpm, the header and mid pipe offered an additional 15 ft-lb of torque.

Next we installed the prototype of the Xd intake manifold. The peak power numbers jumped to 148 hp and 137 ft-lb of torque.
At 6000 rpm, the intake offered gains of 16 hp.
It appears from this testing that if we add an NST u-pulley and receive the same results as we did on the 1.5L Yaris motor, the 1.8L can produce a real 150 wheel hp (possibly more if it reponds favorably to the FIC).

don't believe me?
heres the sheets

Now you say 200 hp... well w/o haven't it stroked.. probably wont happen but we can certainly get close.. Perhaps 170- 180ish at the crank? but its gonna require some internal work i.e pistons.
uhmm.. again with an intake. full exhaust intake mani. nst pulley.. probably 150hp? our engines uses the same fuel injectors except is less output.. add tc fuel injectors .. if we can get pistons.. we can be looking at 7-12hp... to finish it off. with a good a** tune.. probably another 10-15hp. Now I know we can get bc to make us cams.(i want that!) pistons( that too) and valve springs (nd def, that!) we be set! I mean with corolla. xd. vibe. yaris and other cars with 2zr. Im pretty sure we can get 10-20 interested. any thoughts?

Woo! Maybe I should have gotten me an XD, seems like you guys over at that forum have gotten some stuff done! Lets hope they reissue or someone else designs another intake mani, I really think I'd probably skip out at u-drive pulley, and just go straight to the unichip. The U-drive just sketchs me out too much, maybe after everything just to add something more progressively..

I love to hear serious talk and serious strive to get things innovated for our 2zr

haha it took almost 3 yrs (since I got the xd) that now they provided an intake mani

as a disappointing result

The intake did not really help

" JE designed an intake manifold and modified an Injen CAI to go with it. After some gains with the first design, they thought a smaller plenum and longer runners would yield more power... alas, it lost power so we put the 1st version back on and called it a day" and i doubt they will go into production

heres the dyno

keep in mind. its an auto. maybe stick an extra 3hp? haha
the owner is about to begin on a new project with a different car and asked if I can take it off his hands.. we'll see what happens next ... I feel as if this my true calling and be the one guy to continue modding even though people say its pointless haha.. i'll be cooler than paul walker
