FML... help me identify this

Help me identify what this is and Ill post pictures of what it just did to my car when it flew off a truck on the highway.

Before anyone asks, no I did not catch the plate number. Im thinking maybe it was a uhaul truck but its very likely that it wasnt. I wasnt really looking as I was too busy watching this UFO bounce all over my car.

Yeah, big time. Especially considering I just got rear-ended a few weeks ago. And hit a few months before that. This car is either a magnet or its the TN curse

1-upper posts on this kind of stuff always suck IMO.

I have no clue what that part is ChancreScolex. A cap to some sort of cylinder that holds some sort of actuating spring maybe? Total left field guess. Sorry for your luck man. What's your deductible?

$500. My dad might know somebody at a body shop though so I'm gonna see what he can do. The piece hit my bumper twice leaving two deep scrapes, bounced off the hood leaving a scrape/dent, and slid onto the windshield where it stayed until I got home, leaving some scrapes.

That sucks. I hate when something comes off a vehicle & you have to play dodgeball on the highway.

You need to take some pics of the damage for us all to see.
