AUX to USB (Aftermarket Deck)

So I got bored and found out that my aux port doesn't work since I installed my JVC deck.
Awsome thing is my JVC comes with a long directly connected USB port.
So time to do some modding.
It's still in progress but Maybe a right up.

Pull apart all the plastics just like replacing the deck but make sure that the only thing on is temperature controller and the deck (you will need a philips screw driver to get 2 screws out)

Next pop the AUX port out, and unplug the cable. Simple squeez and pull

Here are the rest of the pics so far of the parts untill I do the next steps

Ill keep you guys posted. I am hopping to have this ready to go in the next day or two.
and than will edit to make a complete DIY.

Good idea. I was thinking of what I could use that AUX input space for also since I installed my Rosen HU. Mine has a USB right on the front of it but I was thinking of using it for my alarm indicator by getting a new blank that I could install the alarm light in.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

I'm interested now seeing the back end of that 1/8" jack. I was hoping to simply wire that to my car pc, but it looks like I might be replacing the jack instead. I'd like to install a couple usb ports into the other side which is currently empty on mine.

thats a sweet idea. I was thinking of splicing the cable and split into 2 usb ports, bu found out that the amps won't be enough and the deck will not see the second drive.

Sorry that it's tacking so long to get this finished. It's been raining here everyday and i got a day of on saturday. There are gona be more pics up on saturday and hopefully finished.

the 2011s have a usb/aux port. you might be better off starting off with that and figuring out the wiring.

If you can't figour it out, I got a spare blank space filler [I think that's what it's called] ... it's the same thing to fill in the space opposite side to the right of the AUX port
