2009 model has problem starting up,please help

Hi all,
I have a 3 year old corolla. It has been great and never has a problem since I had it in 2008. This morning when I was going trying to start the car, it did not respond. The panel light is off and show no sign of even trying to start.

I'm thinking it's the battery problem, maybe it leaks all the electricity over the night? I kept trying and finally it shows sign of electricity, then it started. I drove for a while, shut down the engine and then try to start. It was fine.

I left it overnight and start again, same problem. what should I do? should I contact the dealer? my warrenty expires in a few days (just in time...)

Thanks!

That does sound like the battery. I would say the average life span is 3-5 years of one. The other possible issue is the alternator but highly unlikely on a newer model.

I would go to an autoparts store. They will test your battery for free in 20mins and let you know if that is the issue. They can also test the alternator to see if it is charging correctly. I doubt the battery is covered under anything but basic warranty.

I agree with the others that this is a battery in need of being replaced. The stock battery is pretty weak anyway so at the first sign of wear it will start to do what yours is doing.
