My father's Gen 10.5 Corolla, at least in my country, comes with a cheap aftermarket Sony HU. As a gift for him, I want to buy a stock HU, to match the rest of the dashboard.
I know the north american Corolla use the same form factor for the HU, but they differ in color. I think the one with code 86120-02B00 is the one, but I'm not 100% sure if it has an amber display color.
I don't want to buy one, just to realiza I bought the wrong one (one with green display).
¿Can someone help? The HU code 86120-02B00 has an amber display?
Could you post a picture of this cheap sony head unit.
Buying a stock headunit may not be the best choice as they can run several hundred dollars, unless you go on ebay.
If you're really into the factory look, I would suggest buying a China unit which has GPS/touchscreen/etc etc. You'll get more features for less price than the original head unit.
Some guy at a local car forum say that the north american market 10/10.5 Corolla has different mounting points compared with the "general markets" Corolla.
I have one sitting around that I'd sell as well. You can take out the sony and photograph/measure the mounting points. Then I could see if the brackets appear to line up. I'd imagine shipping to Chile would be ridiculous though.

Now I don't know how to proceed!
Is that original radio?
Our's are double din. You can look at other threads to see how our radio looks like. Sure nothin like yours.
Is not original, is an aftermarket one. Toyota uses these HU in my country. Only the LEi has an OEM one, but they sell it at a ridiculous high price.
You can search this forum to see our OEM unit. If you can get a picture of the of your LEI unit you can compare it and hopefully if similar it might fit you. Otherwise you're S O L and have to buy locally or ebay.

Here is one picture of a locally sold Corolla:
I'll try to take out the Sony radio in my father's car (so I can take a picture of the mounting points), or go to a dealer and check the front code of the OEM radio in LEi versions.

Yup. Ours look like that. Next question is, are the mountings and wiring loom the same? You could get that part number and pm Jeff Lange to ask if US/Canada models are the same.

Sure, I'm downloading the Toyota EPC, so I could check with my father's car frame number.
