tapping a 12V source

Does anyone know a good (and easy) place to tap 12V from in a 2009 Corolla LE? I want to wire in a KE module near the driver's side kick panel. I think I can get 12V from the ignition (red wire from the white plug below the ignition), but is there a good 12V source that is on its own isolated circuit? (or at least on a circuit that doesn't have critical functionality). What happens if the fuse gets blown on that circuit? (I don't have a wiring diagram)

I also need to tap into ACC. Is there a place to do this other than at the ignition?

If you're worried you may as well tap into the cigarette lighter 12V at the bottom of the dashboard and run a wire up. I've found that this turns off with the car, so you'll only have power when the key is turned to the ACC or On position as requested.

You could use a fuse tap and steal power from your fuse box down there. Or perhaps tap into the line for your radio. Judging by the thickness of that wiring, I doubt that is a good spot.

Do you want it to be ignition controlled? The power doesn't have to come off the ignition necessarily to be controlled by it.

I hope this isn't too far off topic or total threadcrapping, but would 8x LED strips + two 5v USB chargers put any strain on the 12v source the Cigarette Lighter is getting? Because that's the one that turns on or off with the car and that's what i need. Could probably back it up with a small fuse.

On-Topic: there is probably a closer source, but I vote for the Cig Lighter source

Ahh, finally found the fuse box. Are some of the locations constant 12V and other switched on with ACC/Ignition?
