Now on to the performance
The car had an injen cai and a jvt header with a stock s-pipe back exhaust. I knew from day 1 i wanted to turbo this car from seeing how much success and great numbers the scion tc guys were putting out. So I started piecing together my kit
I tracked down what is in my opinion the sexiest manifold made for the 2az, the turbotoyotas v1. Its a pretty rare part that is no longer in production because apparently they went out of business.
But the parts list goes as follows
Turbotoyotas v1 turbo kit for the scion tc
Tial 44mm wastegate w/external dump tube
Hks bov
DW 550 injectors
Aem fic
Aem fic pnp harness from a 08-10 scion xb
Garrett 57 trim turbo
Black intercooler
Greddy profec b-spec II
Plx wideband
Prosport boost gauge
Megan oil pressure gauge
K&n cone filter
Custom 3in down-pipe back exhaust
3in vibrant ultra quiet resonator
3in flat black vibrant street power muffler
Spal dual fans (1 pusher,1 puller)
Now the tc kit is NOT pnp on our cars. I had to have custom charge pipes fabbed up, and hack up the injen cai to utilize the maf flange since the flange on the 05-06 tc is different than ours (not sure about the 07-10 tc maf flange). I also had a custom mount fabbed up for my battery which you can see in the photos below. I also had to slightly bend an a/c line for charge pipe clearance. Also purchased the trd stb for extra clearance for my bov. Other than that everything fits great and the car is running strong off wastegate pressure. My power goal is 300whp/300wtq on roughly 10psi which will be my high boost setting. On low boost (which the car is currently on) in expecting about 250whp on roughly 5psi. The car had been street tuned on low boost and I will be hitting up the dyno soon. Car is tuned and will continue to be by Chris Rhodes (well know scion tc tuner).

Polished the manifold

And after some heat its gold
