New 2010 Corolla LE owner here!

Well first off I wanted to say hi! This is the first newer car I have bought. I came from a 93 Cherokee, so this is already quite a difference! I married into a family where they swear by Toyotas, so it wasn't really a question of if, but when I was going to have to get rid of the Jeep and get a Toyota. I sure will miss the 4x4..

BUT, I have decided I will make the best of it and have some fun with this car. The sound is already a HUGE improvement, and I haven't even yanked out the stock stereo yet! That being said, has anyone done anything to get rid of that AUX input plug under the HVAC? Once I put in my receiver, I'm not going to need that anymore.

I've been looking at the LED mods, as the first time I turned on the car at night I gave a pretty loud EEEEEEEW. Do NOT like that orange color...

If anyone has any other tips or tricks for someone who does not know a lot about cars, that would be great! Especially anything that will help fuel economy for not too much mechanical work. Thanks!!

If you have got some specific questions give the search function a try and you will find many hits perhaps addressing exactly what you need. If not...post up and you will find a very helpful bunch here.

Just like LeanBurn said a lot of the stuff is on the search function or even check out the DIY sticky. With this car you can have a lot of fun with, and great fuel economy since I came from a G35 to this.

Anyways with the AUX input. I should have my thread up soon when my aux is done. I replaced my stereo with a Double-Din and replacing the aux with USB.

I would hold off getting a stereo so you can get used to your new sounds first, and then when the new stereo comes in, you'll be able to tell the difference more.

haha welcome!
the HVAC and IP LED mod is definitely a mega mod but if you're up for it then by all means!
im not too fond of the orange either and the HVAC is easier to replace/change bulbs.

theres been a few guys maybe 5? that have done it and it looks pretty awesome.

theres also alot more mods to be done with our car.
you can search for it
or if its something weird or unheard of then post it up and we'll help you out!

a cheaper mod that will help your sound, check out QuickRoof thread. Amazing results IMO!

+1,
Well worth the money and time. Wife felt the difference when she close her door without me telling her what I've done. Ride much improved. NVH minimized.
