Starter solenoid on 2011 Corolla
Brand new 2011 Toyota Corolla LE...2500 miles

Wouldn't start last night so I called Toyota Roadside...Took 4 hours to get a tow. After two hours at the shop, they tell me the starter solenoid is bad. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Not that I'm aware of but if an electrical part is defective it usually shows up pretty quick like yours did. No big deal, a replacement & you're good to go.

That is weird that it would go out that soon... It seems like the dealer should replace it since it should be under waranty.

no but it happens to the best of anything.....I would not worry about it....

If an electrical part is defective it will usually fail quickly as this part did.
