Free Maintenance Questions

So my Corolla came with the free maintenance as long as I get it done at the standard intervals. I was wondering if the maintenance can be done for free at other Toyota dealerships? For example i bought my car in Maryland. Can I get the free maintenance done in West Virginia?

you sure can. I bought my 2011 corolla in south carolina and went on vacation and turned it over to 5,000 miles in new hampsire and took it to a toyota dealer there and it was still free.

I had my 5000 mile service and was charged $69.00 for the service, is this normal or should it be free?

The oil change interval on the new Corollas is at 10,000 miles as per the maintenance schedule that came with the car. The dealer will want to change it at 5,000 mile intervals (which I agree with). So, the changes at the 10,000 and 20,000 mile points will be free as they match the maintenance schedule, but those that come at the 5,000, 15,000 and 25,000 intervals are on us.

Toyota Care (2 years/25k) is FREE. All the maintenance between that time interval is free. This being Tire rotation and oil changes. Also the Multi point inspection at 15k is free also. The maintenance for the Corolla at 5k is just tire rotation unless you want to change the oil too (0w20 Toyota Synthetic.) The 0w20 is recommended to be change every 10k by factory recommendations.

I think you are throwing money away by paying for an oil change at 5k when the oil is designed to be change at every 10k.

You must remember that Toyota Care is meant to be free maintenance, the dealer is taking your money by changing it at 5k. (And I work at a dealer )

When you bought the car you should have gotten a maintenance schedule for your car. It will say the maintenance that apply every 5k/6 month.
