Black Pillars

What do you call the pillars on the side of the doors in the center of the car?

I just noticed for the first time that the Corolla S has them in black instead of silver like on my silver LE. I prefer the black a lot more. Does anyone know where I can get stuff to stick over it, or do I have to get it painted?

You mean the "pillars" right? lol well...you could either do black vinyls...

or mix it up and get some carbon fiber pillars like Dim has lol

Well lets just put it this way. The carbon fiber pillars have a longer lifespan than the vinyls. Basically anything under heat has a lifespan lol...

I would say the window trim since its the whole thing, but the pillar you are talking about is known as the 'B-Pillar'. The Xrs and S models still have it painted like yours, we just have a vinyl over our window trim.

Dimaola, just to clarify what you mean

You're saying that the S models, do not have it painted black, but rather its black vinyl around it?

Krylon Fusion for plastic. It worked well enough, it never came off or anything at all, but over the years, it did fade unevenly.

Instead, people have been having remarkable results with plasti-dip!!!

That area is called your "B" pillar.

Maybe if you applied a clear coat over it the fading could be prevented?
