putting the car on jack stands

I feel a little dumb asking this but where are the jacking points under the corolla? Every car I've owned had clearly market jack stand placement points with "hockey pucks". I looked under the corolla yesterday and not only does the side skirt plastic extend a good 3" in, but the only thing I found resembling hockey pucks were a couple of rubber plugs. Am I missing something obvious?

Side question, as far as replacing the air filter is it as simple as un-clipping the air box, dropping the filter in, and clipping the box back on?

Thanks

As far as jacking the car up with the included jack I just insert it through the protruding vertical tab and jack it up...as far as the jack stands, I believe the upside-down U indentation is where you would set the jackstand upon it.

And if you got the drop in air filter kit like the K&N Drop In, then yes it pretty much is pull the tabs, pull out the stock filter, drop in the aftermarket in the "right" way (the way it's shaped should indicate only one way to put it, then close it...

I recommend downloading the repair manual I recently posted for more information

Oh perhaps it's different with Japanese cars. I'm used to German cars and my jack stands have a pretty much flat platform that usually sits on a hard rubber hockey puck.
Here are the jack stands that I have:

The squared places should be correct for you. The main jack point is of course in the middle for a floor jack.

The only problem I see in trying to put a jack stand at those points is that the car when jacked up will be at an angle. The top of a jack stand is flat. Thus, the car's weight will not be squarely on the top of the jack stand. I would wonder if it could slide or slip off of the stand. What would be good would be some type of adapter or pad that could take this angle into account. I have never jacked mine up, but this is just a thought on a possible hazard to consider.

Hmm...my jackstand actually has an indent for that tab to insert through...even if it is somewhat in an angle...there's no way it can come off the stand unless a natural disaster happens lol

My Jack stand has an indent in the middle when when I jack up the car using the stub in the front middle of the car, I then put stands 1 on each side then lower it on the car, then it's on stands and I can get under ... Also I usually put a rock behid the wheel incase it doesn't accidentally roll away

I've used all kinds of jack stands and I've never had a problem and trust me..my car has been jacked up many times before. Also I have the hand brake on and I put a piece of wood or a rock behind the tire and then sometimes I put the tire that is off under the car too...just to ensure that the car doesn't fall me.
