Amplifier/Subwoofer install advise needed!
Hey everyone,
I recently had an aftermarket JVC deck installed along with an MTX custom 10 speaker system in my 2010 Corolla. I will post pictures shortly. I plan on installing a mono amp & a single 10" sub in my car and I was wondering if there will be potentially any battery/alternator/electrical issues with our 10th gen Corollas?
Here's my set up:
1. JVC KW-XR810 head unit (with 2 RCA pre-outs)
2. MTX speakers (4 front tweeters, 2 front door woofers, 2 rear tweeters, 2 rear deck woofers)
3. Alpine MRP-M500 amp (500W @ 2 ohms, 300W @ 4 ohms)
4. MTX 10" subwoofer (no clue which one - my friend is just giving it to me)
5. Bassworx CS10 subwoofer enclosure
6. Stinger 8 gauge install kit (capable upto 600W)
7. Stinger/Precision Acoustics 1 farad capacitor (haven't bought it yet)
I don't really want thumping rattling bass at high wattage; however, I am going to tune it to get a decent smooth OOMPH mild bass at preferably 300W (or 500W MAX).
My only concern is whether or not I will be causing damage to the battery/alternator?
Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!
