...for the extra $2,000 over the S, the XRS got the bigger 2AZFE engine, rear disc brakes, 17 inch wheels, front strut bar, Optitron gauges, and a few otherwise optional features standard-- there wasn't much left for Toyota wanted to include unless they wanted to charge even more for it. And even then, the XRS didn't make a big difference in the performance of the Corolla over the S. I really wish they made it more competitive with the Civic Si, but oh well.

Toyota doesn't produce that kit in the US, so that's why...IMO, a lot of people would scream RICE if they saw that on the Corolla, with its whopping 132 horsepower.
