OEM bluetooth problems

today when i connected my new phone with my bluetooth. when i started playing music (AUX with connected) it started playing off of the bluetooth instead of through the AUX. this way, i could not control the bass, tre, volume etc. anyone know how to fix this (stop music from playing via bluetooth)?

From what I know of most headunits, if bluetooth is on and connected it will always default to the bluetooth for audio. If you want to use aux, I think you'd have to disconnect bluetooth.

I'm not 100% sure, but I've seen it work on many systems this way....

Don't have to disconnect, you just have to select the source. It will default to BT like mod said. Mine allows sound to be adjusted. I noticed each source has its own setting when I purchased the car and I made my settings and left it there.

You could always just get an iPod for music. I hate using my phone for music too. IMO it's easier to just leave my iPod connected & out of sight.

I wonder if the BT functions differently for the 2011 models compared to the 2009-10 ones. Newer Toyota headunits seem to enable BT streaming, which IMO was not on the BT units of the 09 & 10...

Even my BT JBL system didn't have streaming, which didn't matter to me one bit anyway.
