I got $100 Toyota Parts store credit. what would you buy?

long story short i was mislead by my sales person on my new car having a 6 disc changer. since it does not they gave me $100 credit for the parts dept.

im low on spendable cash at the moment due to putting down a LOT of money for my down pmt. so i cant spend much more than the $100 that they gave me.

so what would you buy? mind you im in a 100% stock 2011 Corolla S right now but plan to lower it with TRD springs, get 17" or 18" wheels and mod the intake and exhaust at some point... but probably wont for more than year or so down the road which is why i think i just want to spend the credit now on something small i would have bought anyway, instead of saving it for later.

i was thinking a TRD drop in air filter and maybe a better shift knob?

what do you think?

For $100 I'd go with you for either shift knob or Drop in filter

I'd personally go with the Knob, as it can last longer than the air filter LOL ... When you ready, get a SRI, you'll feel more better then with smiles and wanting to push your car harder LOL

I would suggest that too...I personally would NOT spend any of that money at the parts department if they are charging "MSRP" on the parts you want to get, since there are plenty of other places where you can buy OEM parts for way less.

yea. i wanted to apply it to my car pmt too. but it would seem the way they did it is only for the Toyota merch. its like a "we owe" or something. not like a credit card or what ever.

The ONLY thing I would buy is POSSIBLY a RSB depending on their price.

I would look at it like free money & put is toward a RSB or FSB, even TRD springs could be an option. Just pay the difference.

thanks for all your suggestions guys!

so RSB seems to be popular, is this one of the suspension parts that yields one of the biggest differences?

does RSB stand for rear sway bar of rear strut bar?

Winter is coming up so I'm sure you could pick up a beanie, shirt or something. You're not going to get far with $100 at the dealer. If you are going to get a shift knob from them, I know the XRS knob is going for $83 at Toyotabarnparts so maybe its comparable. I got a TRD drop in for $58. If you know you're getting TRD stuff then just hold on to it to put towards the purchase, no matter what its free money.

Rear Sway Bar. If you dont have springs, you could get the TRD springs
