Edge guards instalation

How do I install the door edge guards on our 2011 Corolla? For the rear doors it looks like I match up the contours of the door to the trim to determine what height to fasten the guards on the door. Is there a set measurement down on the door to begin to fasten these guards? As far as attaching them, I assume that I use a rubber mallet and just hit them on. Does this sound correct? Then once the rear door guards are on, I'll just match the front doors to the same measurement.

I'd appreciate some feedback on this procedure. It appears very straightforward but you just never know.

Thanks,
jb

Just like ya said, I'd first match the contour from the rears and have the front set go off from those.

Dunno if you'd need a mallet. shouldn't be that hard, and it should have some 3M backing.

Post some pics too when you get 'em

Always thought about getting these, but didn't know if it would make it too busy

Check with Toyota, they should come with a template.

I was hoping TRD Sparks had the instillation, but found this:

Installation: Installation instructions included.

Might want to contact them and see if they could email you a copy
