Angry Toyota Altis 1.8E Reserve Humming Sound

My toyota corolla altis 1.8E VVTI yr 2011 got this humming sound when reserve. The SA told me it is normal. Anybody having the same model facing the same problem?? I worry is the gearbox problem. Any expert can give me some advise??

Humming sound as like its winding?

Yes its normal. You'll here it more in the M/T... never really paid attention if you can hear it in A/T.

i know that is normal but the sound for my car is too obvious.

Go test drive another one from your dealer to see if there's a difference.
Your Altis are quite different from ours here. Yours must've been from UMW.

every car ive ever driven has made a kind of winding noise when driving in reverse for more than a few feet.

ive noticed to be louder on Civics and Corollas when compared to most other cars.

ya, i think that is the only thing that i can do.. test drive others altis from the dealer and compare it with mine... how how it goes.. thx for the advise...
