We purchased our first Toyota yesterday. It's a Graphite 2011 Corolla 'S'. We usually purchased our cars from the 'Big Three' but have grown tired of the shoddy engineering they offer. We traded a 2008 Patriot Ltd. which wasn't necessarily a bad vehicle but I was really disappointed in having to replace front end steering and suspension parts on a 3 year old vehicle that was never off road. It's common problem throughout the Chrysler brand but they've never admitted to any problems. So after all of the good things we've heard about Toyota through the years, we thought we'd try one for ourselves.
Welcome aboard and enjoy the ride! Wife just picked up one on Monday (Barcelona Red). I washed and wax yesterday and today and I haven't even got to drive it yet!
to Toyota. I currently own 7 Toyotas! They've never let me down in 30+ years of owning them.

Thanks for the welcome messages. To answer some of the questions, well first of all I'm not sure about any modifications at this time. Right now we're just enjoying the car as it is. But I can appreciate all of the work people put into their Corollas by looking at some of the great pictures posted on the forum. As far as my user name, I was a volunteer firefighter in a small town in NE Pennsylvania for 31 years. I recently 'retired' from active service. The engine 5 came from a 1950 'L' Model Mack that my company used from 1950 until 1976.
