illumination problem

Does anyone know what wire on the HVAC control, is the one that illuminates the back light on the panel. everything works, but none of the back ground lights work. at night time its total black out, wife cant find the control knobs with out turning on the map light. want to put a jumper wire from the headlight control to get the lights to come on. no fuses are blowen. even the gear indcator lights on the center console stoped working. have no idea why. toyota said they won't look at it because it has a aftermarket stereo in it. stereo is a direct plug & play, nothing was cut or spliced in. so any help would be very helpful. thanks

Why not to try putting the factory stereo back in and having them look at it then?
