Intermittent wipers

I just put the intermittent wiper switch in my car. Works great and only took about 10 minutes to install. I got it from this place:

Ebay item: 230687827520

It is in Israel. Took about 10 days to get it here. I bought the wiper only switch. I offered them $28, they came back at $35, so I bought it. Sure beats the $114 from a cheap dealer!

They don't have it anymore...they only had one it seems, and you bought it.

They have them all the time. There were about 3 before I bought mine. Now they have the light switch and intermittent wiper switch on auction. Still a great deal.

I wrote back to this place. I wonder if the overseas Corollas have disk brakes? They have good prices and cheap shipping. It might be worth a look.

They might sell the brakes for cheap but shipping is going to hurt because the rotors are heavy. I've seen the same auction too and was going to get the light and wiper switch but still on the fence about it.

You can buy the rotors for $17 ea. You only need the caliper mounts, calipers, and the mounting plate for the calipers. Maybe the E-brake cables if they will take the time to remove them. The wheel bearings are the same for drum or disk.

Well, they have the disk set-up. Here is the listing for a single caliper.

230688885902

Although listed as a Front, it is in reality a rear as you can tell by the E-brake cable and ratchet mechanism. That being said, $99.99 is a bit high. Then you add the $65 shipping and you can just about buy it reman here for that much. I wrote back and said they were too high. We'll see what they say.

Here is a listing for an intermittent wiper switch for anybody that is interested. Good deal considering a new one is over double the cost:

230692264121 - Wiper only
230688862028 - Wiper and lights

They also have a set of rear calipers for anybody wanting to do a change from drum to disk brakes.

for those without factory fogs, you can control them with the new switch it looks like. but then you'd have to do some extra wiring too.

*edit* although upon closer inspection, that doesn't seem to look like the fog light icon... looking at the tails i would say rear fog but that doesn't look like the traditional rear fog icon too.

I have no idea. My thought was they have it listed as "Best Offer", so you could offer them a reasonable amount and still get it a lot cheaper than just buying the intermittent wiper switch from the dealer.
